In this 4 week Flexible Schedule Class, students will learn about 3 types of communities while creating a coordinating fine motor skills craft.

What's included

Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
This is a 4 week flexible schedule class. Students will have engaging lessons and submit completed work to the classroom for peer and teacher review. 
The classroom is a place for work to be shared. 
Comments and reflections are also posted in the classroom for every student to see and respond to. 

Each Monday by 8 a.m. EST, students will have access to:

1. a video lesson prepared for them by the teacher
2. Printable activity sheets
3. a fun interactive Nearpod link that includes 3D models, virtual field trips and a space where students can draw and share their work with the class.
4. a Craft Video filmed by the teacher that contains the teacher creating the weekly craft step by step.
Each Friday by 8 a. m. EST, students will have access to:
1. A Kahoot quiz to test their knowledge of the weekly lesson.
2. End of Week Notes, a recap of the lesson learned.
The class schedule is as follows:

Week One:
Urban Communities
Students will learn what an urban community is and what it might be like to live in an urban community.
Students will engage in a fine motor skills craft pertaining to an urban community.

Week Two:
Suburban Communities
Students will learn what an suburban community is and what it might be like to live in an suburban community.
Students will engage in a fine motor skills craft pertaining to a suburban community.

Week Three:
Rural Communities
Students will learn what a rural community is and what it might be like to live in a rural community.
Students will engage in a fine motor skills craft pertaining to an rural community.

Week Four:
Community Helpers
Students will learn about community helpers and engage their fine motor skills with a craft pertaining to a community helpers.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students may need adult assistance with various aspects of the weekly crafts. Students will be using scissors and may need assistance.

Week One:
2 shoe boxes
Paint, any colors that child chooses
Paint brush
glue
Printables from Classroom
Scissors

Week Two:
One paper bag (lunch bag size)
Printables from classroom
One sheet of green construction paper
Old newspaper, several sheets 
Crayons (many colors)
Scissors 
Glue

Week Three:
Paper plate

Week Four:

Black crayon
Another crayon any color child chooses
