Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this interactive CommonLit tutoring session, students will receive targeted support to improve their reading comprehension, analysis, and critical thinking skills through a variety of engaging activities. We will focus on understanding literary devices, analyzing themes, making inferences, and responding to guided reading questions. Each session is structured to begin with a brief review of the assigned text, followed by interactive discussions where students can ask questions and share their insights. I will guide learners through close reading exercises and provide real-time feedback to help them grasp key concepts. Learners will have plenty of opportunities to interact with me, ask questions, and engage in discussions that encourage deeper understanding of the material.
Learning Goals
Students will learn strategies for constructing short answer responses using the claim, evidence, reasoning format.Students will learn strategies for answering multiple choice questions.
