In this session, your child will be introduced to colors through songs, books, and colorful pictures. We will explore the colors red, yellow, blue, green, orange, purple, brown and black. This session is structured to be very interactive with your child singing songs and moving along with me. I will use animated slides, puppets, movement and books to make this learning experience engaging and fun. No prior experience or knowledge is required for this course. I cannot wait to meet your little learner in my classroom!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify the colors red, yellow, blue, green, orange, purple, brown and black.
Students will be exposed to literature related to colors.
Students will become familiar with songs related to colors.

My name is Dyonne and I am honored to be an Outschool teacher. I am currently a homeschooling mother of two. Before becoming a mom, I was a preschool/elementary school teacher for ten years. My experience ranges from teaching two-year old’s up to second graders. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and a Master’s Degree in Reading, Language and Literacy Education.
I love teaching and believe that my purpose is to expand on the excitement for learning that young children have. The best way to do this is through interactions and activities that are highly engaging. My goal is for my students to have so much fun during our sessions that they do not even realize that they are learning.
Many of my classes will be reading, language and literacy based; however, I am looking forward to including math, science, and social studies within the classes that I offer.
I am an avid reader along with other hobbies which include cooking, spending time with family and taking long walks.
