In this one time lesson, students will reinforce their knowledge of colors and animals while engaging and discussing the well-known book 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' accompanied with drawing a chosen animal from the story.

In this class your child will listen to Teacher Kristine read the beloved story, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" written by Bill Martin Jr & illustrated by Eric Carle. Children will introduce themselves to fellow classmates and engage in conversation with their peers about their favorite colors and animals which are featured in the story. Students will practice identifying the following colors: brown-red-yellow-blue-green-purple-white-black-orange Students will practice identifying the following animals: bear-bird-duck-horse-frog-cat-dog-sheep-fish Students will produce a drawing of their favorite animal from the story and have the opportunity to show off their work.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of basic colors and animals along with the opportunity to engage in conversation with their peers about their favorite colors and animals.
