In this 4 -week class, students will explore the process of selecting a college that meets their academic and social needs and how to write the essays that are expected of them. Week One This week focuses on how to research the colleges that will best meet their academic, financial, and social needs. Week Two The Common Ap will be explained and the different essay choices will be discussed. We will pinpoint which essay would be best for their personality and situation. Optional homework of writing one of the Common Ap essays will be given. If they chose that option, corrections and feedback will be sent back to them. Week Three The other types of college essays that they may have to write will be shown and discussed. Optional homework will be writing one of those shorter essay formats.
