Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
This class helps students understand the expectations of college! I firmly believe gaining confidence in themselves is a crucial aspect of their personal and academic growth.

In terms of writing skills, we will be completing weekly writing practices and students will receive feedback on their papers each time. This iterative process of writing, receiving feedback, and revising helps them refine their writing skills and develop more effective styles.

No matter what major you plan on going for... there will be essays! Lots of them! They don't have to be scary though! A standard 5 paragraph essay with a perfectly crafted thesis statement, a little flare, and your own voice put into it is all you really need!

In addition to my creative writing degree, I am currently finishing up my child psychology degree. So all these writing skills and expectations I teach in class are current! No outdated tips and tricks here!

***Please see the syllabus for a detailed breakdown of class time.
