Cold War Spies

Class
Andrea Dalland, M.Ed, MLS
Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(117)
Double agents, deception, dead drops and defections; the Cold War era saw perhaps more espionage than any other period in history. This one-time class will teach learners about some of the most notorious spies of the 20th century.

Class experience

Students will learn some of the background and history of the Cold War and of the lives of several of its most famous spies.
I have taught social studies at the upper elementary level for 20 years and am a life-long lover of history. I lived in Russia for six years and was able to visit many of the locations mentioned in the class. In fact, I will be using some of my own photographs to show what those locations look like today.
This class will contain some content that some students may find upsetting or scary, including escaping a country to keep from being caught, and the existence of atomic bombs. Please be aware of some of this content and determine if this class will be suitable for your child.
