US Grade Kindergarten - 2
The CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test) is a test for K-12 students intended to estimate students' learned reasoning and problem-solving abilities through a battery of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal test items. At the lower level, the CogAT utilizes pictures, shapes, and figures to evaluate students' verbal, quantitative, and non-verbal abilities. The test is broken up into the aforementioned 3 categories, and each category has 3 subtests. In this class, students will preview and solve sample questions in order to become familiar with the patterns, questions, etc. Week 1 | Verbal Practice Problems | Review problems in sections, such as picture analogies and sentence completion. Week 2 | Qualitative Practice Problems | Review problems in sections, such as number puzzles and number series. Week 3 | Nonverbal Practice Problems | Review problems in sections, such as figure classification and paper-folding.
