This is level two so it is preferred that you take level one first. If you are very familiar with the Blockly for Dash app, it is not required that you take level one but it is strongly encouraged. In this class we will be adding more to our skill level. We will create more with Dash as well as using the app to preform functions through block coding. This class will require students to add things to their robot that will enhance the functions of each task. The teacher will give each task one at a time and then students will have time to complete the task. Each student will show their Dash performing the task before we move on to the next task. We will have 4-6 tasks to complete within our 55 minute class.
Learning Goals
Students will sharpen their block coding skills as well as their creative thinking.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been an elementary teacher for 19 years! Wow I am getting old! I spent the first 13 years of my career teaching science to second, third, and fourth grade students. During this time, I had an extra planning where I also taught reading and math intervention. After that, I moved schools and I spent two years teaching a homeroom second grade class. My new school then created the position of STEM and I got to fill the role of our school STEM teacher!!!! It is my most favorite job I have ever had! I get to see every student in our building once per week! That's 700 kids every week that walk through my door! My personal philosophy of teaching is that all students learn differently and they should be allowed to spread their own wings (not mine.) When they can spread their wings and discover something on their own, they will surprise you every time! The classes that I am going to be teaching on here will be mostly engineering and science lessons.
I have three of my own children and they have changed a lot about the way I teach! They are all three extremely different and learn in different ways so this has helped me to see that the route might be different but, as long as we reach the destination, they we are ok. We have one cat and her name is Rosie. She is the laziest cat we have ever had but she's very sweet so we overlook the laziness!
