Coding Summer Camp Part II

Students will learn engineering concepts like mechanics, navigation, sensors, and more while being introduced to computer science fundamentals like commands, variables, conditional logic, loops, smart blocks/functions, and more.

Class Experience

During this class, students will do the following.
     1. Learn the basic blocks of Blockly programming,
     2. Define VEX devices
     3. Develop code to move an online robot
     4. Short lessons cover events, loops, and conditions for various playgrounds.
     5. Use different sensors to manipulate the robot

Daily Camp Schedule (Students will code at their own pace.)
20 Minutes Session 1
      Introduction, Review of Previous Class
      The teacher  will introduce a new subject
      Students will code a simple task based on the subject taught
      The teacher will review individual students' work 
5 Minute  -    BREAK
20 Minutes Session 2
      Introduction, Review of Previous Class
      The teacher will introduce a new subject
      Students will code a simple task based on the subject taught
      The teacher will review  individual students' work 
5 Review of STEMWORK for Home

Day 1.
Learn how to use the Robot’s Bumper/FrontEye/DownEye sensor for autonomous navigation using basic coding blocks. 

Day 2.
 Learn about drive systems and how to navigate your Robot using if-then, else if. 

Day 3
Learn how to navigate your Robot using if-then, else if, and using operators/variables
Day 4.
Learn how to reduce your code using blocks
