Class Experience

BEGINNER PROGRAMMING CLASS — Prior experience is not required or necessary.
--------------------------------------
This is a one-time, 50-minute class, we will cover the basics of creating and deploying an HTML website to the web. This class is designed to show the learner how easy it is to get started coding real web pages. We will program together and go at a comfortable pace.
--------------------------------------
We will cover:
     - File structure of an HTML website
    - Learn how to launch a website from Replit.com
    - Discuss how HTML works
    - Introduce and use Tailwind CSS to add styling to our website.

I hope to see you in class!

Learning Goals

Students will need to create a (www.replit.com) account prior to our class. This will allow us to code right away, without installing or downloading anything. Replit.com is also the way we will be launching our websites so it is a key part of the class.

Learners will also need a computer to write code (use Zoom on the same computer so we can share screens). An iPad will not work for this class. A big part of this class is sharing our screens. This allows me to take a look at your code and offer suggestions and correct errors. For these reasons, please turn on this feature if it is not already allowed.

I teach both programming and Spanish!

⌨️ Programming offers students a way to expand their minds and experiences while learning lifelong skills. I am convinced that anyone can learn how to code! With the right mindset and approach, we will demystify the concepts of programming, together!

🇪🇸 Spanish has had a tremendously positive impact on my life! It forces us to think differently which can positively manifest in so many ways. In our clases, we will break down Spanish into understandable parts so we can build the level of understanding that we desire!

❤️ I would love the opportunity to teach your child the same skills that have opened so many doors in my life.

I hope to see you in class!
