Beginner Level
In this 6 week course, students will learn about how to integrate Code Builder into their regular play on Minecraft. Code Builder will allow students to code Agents, mobs, and more. This course will utilize knowledge of block coding to accomplish our goals. Preexisting experience of using block coding is not required, but is helpful. Through the use of code builder, students will be using beginner level coding to accomplish the tasks. In this course, we use block coding. In more advanced courses, you can complete the same tasks using JavaScript, and Python coding as well. All of these coding languages are great STEM skills to have for now and the future. This class will utilize a whole group instruction approach, with options for students to request specific help on specific content areas. The teacher will share their screen through the zoom meeting to demonstrate the content, and students will be able to follow along and ask questions as we go.
Learning Goals
By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently use Code Builder to create basic functions within their Minecraft game to produce their desired outcome.
