**Great For Siblings*** In these semi-private, small group tutoring sessions, the primary goal is to address common math "gaps" that frequently hinder the learning progress of 3rd-5th graders. This class functions as a refresher or "gap-filler" and is not meant to introduce new mathematical concepts to your learner for the first time. Each session will provide your learner(s) with guided instruction and practice problems on challenging topics that, if not mastered, could impede their mathematical development. These sessions cover: ~Telling Time (to the minute) - Analog Clock ~Counting US Money (coins & bills) ~Place Value (including decimals) ~Multiplying Double Digits (algorithm and box method) ~Word Problems (using all of the above) and (time permitting) bonus topics! In addition to having a Master's in Education degree, I am a certified (State, GT, ESL, TESOL, TEFL, TEYL) teacher who has been working with kids in a variety of capacities for over 25 years! I love teaching students how to learn! My goal as a teacher is to help students not only learn material, but to develop a love of learning as well. I understand that every learner is unique, so I strive provide meet them where they are. I focus on helping students learn content while incorporating important life skills such as: communication, problem solving, creative thinking and social skills. My teaching style is very learner-led!
Please note that all of my classes are ESL and neuro-divergent friendly. I strive to provide inclusive classes in which learners of all abilities are welcome. Feel free to contact me prior to class with any accommodation requests.
