In this class, students will learn basic pottery techniques including pinch, coil and slab while they create their own creatures each week. Students will be taught how to use different tools, how to be successful with clay and how to clean-up after each project. Students will interact with the teacher, as they go step-by-step through each project. Students are encouraged to participate through class discussion, asking questions and are encouraged to interact with the teacher and class. At the end of class, students are encouraged to share their finished pieces with the class. Recordings will be made available for students to look back at a technique or terminology covered in class. Breakdown of Each Week: Week 1: Pinch Pot Monster Week 2: Tiki Week 3: Coil King Cobra Week 4: Pinch and Coil Medusa
