In this ongoing class, the students will learn about a new animal. The students can tell the class what they like about that animal. The students will be shown a picture of the animal that we are talking about in that class. The students will be making a new animal with clay. I will be doing it with the students. At the end of the class, the students can show their art project to the class. Week of December 25th : Elephant: The students will be making an elephant with grey and pink clay. Week of January 1st: Giraffe: The students will be making a giraffe with yellow and brown clay. Week of January 8th: Fish: The students will be making a colourful rainbow fish with clay. Week of January 15th: Monkey: The students will be making a baby and an adult monkey with clay.

Please supervise your students when they are doing their art projects by making sure you are not on the camera.

Hello my name is Samara. I live in Montreal and have been a Preschool educator for the past 5 years.
In my classes , learners will have a consistent place to gather and learn that focuses on developmental skills which include fine motor , gross motor , cognitive , language and literacy, social and emotions . Let's learn shapes, colors , letters names , letters sounds , art , counting and so much more.
I have my Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education degree from Vanier College in Montreal . I am a certified educator in Early Childhood Education with students aged 3 -5 years old. I have a certification in the highly successful Handwriting Without Tears and Lively Letters.
I am a proud and passionate Preschool educator. I have a natural love of teaching and bring patience and enthusiasm to the classroom. I have a great pleasure in helping students reach their developmental milestones.
My philosophy is that students' interests matter and they learn best when they have an effective relationship with their educator. I believe that students learn and strive at their own pace. I make learning fun and stimulating while focusing on the development milestones. I attempt to make learning play based , hands -on experience and child led . I have a great enjoyment to make classes play based, hands- on experience , child - led and engaging for each student . The students will build self- confidence and a sense of self- esteem in my classes. I do ensure a successful and smooth transition to Kindergarten.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling , reading, baking and spending quality time with my friends and family.
