Learning classical guitar is a great foundation for young musicians. In this class, you will learn classical guitar posture, technique, and tone, along with music theory. Build your repertoire and explore a new genre of beautiful music. Beginners will start learning important classical guitar fundamentals. Advancing guitarists will learn the differences between classical and modern playing technique. We tailor each 1:1 lesson to your level and learning style. In the first lesson, you'll learn about classical guitar. The teacher will learn more about your playing experience. With the teacher's guidance, you'll set goals for future lessons. Each week's individualized lesson will build on this foundation as you learn skills and repertoire to create beautiful music.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the differences between classical guitar technique and modern playing. Learners will develop classical solo guitar repertoire. Learners will improve musicianship and learn music theory.
Other Details
Supply List
An acoustic or classical (nylon-string) guitar in good playing condition. A pitch clip (tuner) or tuning app. A block or foot rest for classical guitar position is recommended.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Bodhi Bryan-Roig has a huge passion for music. He has been playing the violin for over 10 years and the guitar for over 8 years. He wants to share his passion for music with others. He hopes to inspire kids to pick up and continue to play the violin, an instrument he immediately fell in love with. Bodhi studied music under Stacey Rae Sinclair. He is ideally suited to join the SRS Music team, with the perfect combination of musical skills and teaching philosophy. When teaching, he always focuses on the things learners are doing right. He gives encouragement and advice through positive feedback.
