Class experience
This class is for students who are taking part in school bands and want to excel in the class. In our lesson we will focus on musical elements such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics and musical expression. It is important for clarinet, flute and saxophone students to understand these musical elements and how they are so vital in creating a musical performance. The lesson content will be tailored for the needs and ability of the learner. Therefore, this is an ideal class for a student just starting out on a flute, clarinet or saxophone who want to know how to master the basics of flute playing. I teach the more experienced students preparing to move to MS & HS bands and those musicians who want to work on more complex solo pieces for auditions and exams.
I am super passionate about music and helping young musicians grow in confidence and musical skill. I have taught music in schools for over 25 years and run many bands, orchestras and choirs.

Regular weekly practice would be expected of students in a band program and taking instrumental lessonsAssessments Offered
