This is an engaging class that encourages participation and self esteem. Students can participate as they feel comfortable to do so.
I will provide positive feedback and encouragement to the students. This class has a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
We will do some collaborative learning, as the students offer ideas about what objects are certain shapes and colors.
Collaborative learning will also apply to various other activities, such as discussing the weather and the seasons.
My teaching style is fun and relaxed. Each student will be included in the activities and they are encouraged to join in with activities.
We will sing songs, play rhythm games and have other learning activities. I will sing and have them sing along, or echo each line of the song, after me.
I will sometimes play my guitar or ukulele, for the sing-a-longs.
Creative, story-telling will sometimes be included with the sing-a-longs. Students will be encouraged to collaborate with me, to create the stories.
A basic order of activities and routine for the class, will help the students feel comfortable and know what to expect.
Some flexibility and creativity within the routine will help the students express themselves and use their imagination.
