🎉 Welcome ALL Preschoolers and Kindergarteners! 🎉 I want to welcome you to join this ongoing learning adventure with a certified elementary teacher! This class was created for learners ages 4-6 years old preparing for Pre-K/Kindergarten. Our class will meet 2 times a week (Tues & Thurs) During this ongoing class learners will explore and practice many literacy skills including: ABC’s, letter/letter sounds, letter recognition, sight words and phonics. Learners will discover numeracy skills including: counting, number recognition and number sense. ⭐️This class is ongoing so your learner can join ANY week!⭐️ Theme of the Week! 🐘🦒 Let’s take a trip to the Zoo! 🦚🦧 Here’s our daily breakdown: Greeting Song 👋🏼 Classroom Expectations ✅ Calendar Time 📆 Weather/Seasons 🍁❄️🌿☀️ ⭐️ Reading Day (Tuesday) - Learners will explore and learn the alphabet, letter sounds, letter recognition, sight words and building sentences using our sight words. Each week we will have a new focus letter. We will take time learning about our focus letter through guided reading, guided writing, interactive games and songs. We will also take time learning and sharing about our fun theme of the week! ⭐️ Math Day (Thursday) - Learners will discover and learn about numbers, number recognition, number sense, shapes, colors and simple addition/subtraction. Each week we will have a new focus number. We will learn about our focus number through guided math discussions, guided writing, interactive games and songs. Learners will strengthen their math skills by counting, skip counting, graphing, sorting, discovering patterns and shapes. ⭐️ Show & Tell (Thursday) - After our math lesson learners will have the opportunity to show and share something with the class.
