In this 5x a week ongoing course, we will gather together for a circle time. We will sing songs, do calendar activities, and begin an introduction to letters, letter sounds, rhyming, and math concepts such as shapes, colors, and numbers 1-20. Students will have fun in this interactive course where they will get to discuss and help the teacher with activities such as calendar activities. Students will learn about days of the week and months of the year through use of a daily calendar. Students will learn to check and discuss the daily weather. Students will receive an introduction to the early literacy skills and early math concepts.
I have years of experience teaching literacy and math skills in the elementary school. I also have a Master's in Reading and have taken many professional development courses to continue my craft in providing effective instruction that helps students achieve goals and become successful learners. More than anything, I am just a person who cares and wants children to feel successful and accomplished.
Homework Offered
Students are encouraged to review skills such as the days of the week, months of the year, letters and numbers.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
