US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this 3x a week ongoing course, we will gather together for learning and social fun! We will sing songs, begin an introduction to letters of the alphabet, and learn math concepts such as shapes, colors, and identifying numbers 0-20. Students will also listen to stories and practice early reading comprehension skills. At times, I may use a book that covers a science or social studies topic to incorporate non-fiction information. Many times, we will have show-and-tell to give students the opportunity to share something fun with the class! This course will help your child get ready for pre-k and kindergarten or for those who may need review. This is also a great way to work on social skills and learning to take turns and raise their hands to speak. So, come spend time with me singing, learning, and having fun! Note: At times, students will need to be muted to allow everyone to hear instruction or for one student to respond. Week of 06/10- letter Aa, numbers 0 and 1, shape-circle, color- red Week of 06/17- letter B, number 2, Shape- square, color-blue Week of 06/24- letter C, number-3, shape- triangle, color- green Week of 07/01- letter D, number 4, shape- rectangle, color- yellow Week of 07/08- letter E, number 5, shape-star, color- orange More weeks will be added as we get closer to the week of 01/15 **If I am sick one day or there is a holiday that I will not teach on such as Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc., and there isn't a make-up day set, I will credit you for the day(s) not taught.
