Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this 8 week long semester interactive Circle FUN Time: Ready to Learn class, learners meet 2X weekly to have fun as they learn reading, letters, phonics, nursery rhymes, math concepts, art, singing, and movement. Everything that keeps them engaged.

This class meets twice a week [2X] for twenty-five minutes and will be packed with great, exciting, amazing stories read aloud by the Teacher, while learners are encouraged to repeat words, chant short phrases with their Teacher and the other learners in our class [the beginning of reading]. Learners will be encouraged to read on their own as they are ready.

Learners will have opportunities throughout different sessions to bring objects with them or find objects that are represented in a story. Learners are introduced to rhyming words through nursery rhymes. We'll sing, chant, learn math as we count together, learn numbers, colors, shapes and even the words associated with them, add and subtract a little, learn new vocabulary words beginning with sight words, days of the week, draw and complete art projects from time-to-time. Learners will have sharing time, group activities and fun educational learning games as they learn to work together through social interaction. Learners will be learning as they have lots of fun!

This is an interactive class but even shy learners can enroll, watch, become comfortable in a group setting until they are ready to jump in and interact with other learners in the class. Shy learners will still benefit from Teacher instruction, being in a group setting, listening to stories and acting out stories as they are ready. Great for ESL learners, too!

So come have fun laughing, talking, singing, moving, LEARNING in Circle FUN Time: Ready to Learn.

I LOVE teaching children. Before I became a Principal, I taught in both elementary and middle school/junior high, but I LOVE teaching young learners. I taught kindergarten for a number of years. I enjoy seeing young learners singing, dancing [movement], drawing, thinking, being open and uninhibited, watching them as they begin to read words, write their names and other words, spell and grow into their own self.

I am excited to be present in the Outschool community, working with young learners and helping them develop a love for learning. In Circle FUN Time: Ready to Learn, your young learner will just have plain ol' FUN! as they learn to love learning.
