Each week I will present the class with a winter Christmas themed brick build. We will discuss different ways to represent the challenge and I will share pictures and ideas for the build. Each student will work on creating their own interpretation of the theme, then we will all share with one another. It's amazing to see the different ways we can represent these weekly holiday themes using our imaginations. As we build we will talk about winter holiday traditions and our experiences with them - think building a snowman, giving and receiving gifts, decorating, trees, lights, and candy canes! You are welcome to wear your favorite holiday sweater, bring a cup of hot cocoa and show and tell your holiday decorations. ❄️ Week 1 November 27: Snowflake/Snowman ❄️ 🎁 Week 2 December 4: Stocking/Presents 🎁 🍪 Week 3 December 11: Candy Cane/Cookies 🍪 🎄 Week 4 December 18: Tree with lights/Holiday Decorations 🎄 Drop in any time or join us for all 4 challenges! Learning Goals
-Students will use creativity to represent the challenge of the week with bricks
-We will take turns sharing our creations with others and practice public speaking as we do
-Students will learn how to compliment each other as we appreciate what others have built

Bring your building bricks to class! Any random pieces will do as we will build our best with whatever we have available to us.

I have homeschooled my own children who are 9, 11, and 13 years old now since the beginning. And I planned to do that long before they were born!
Between everyone, there's Autism Spectrum, giftedness, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, PDA, etc to name a few differences that make my family twice exceptional. I have extensive experience working with different learning styles and have taught students from many different backgrounds.
I use a multi-sensory, engaging, interactive, and playful approach in my classes. I am high energy and make sure each student is met right where they are and that they feel included.
Personally, and at this point in my life, my ADHD is my superpower, but it wasn't always easy for me growing up in traditional school. Let me help you make it easy for your student and yourself!
I earned a BA from Kenyon College, and have started several small businesses, including designing and selling Aloha Feet, The Fidget for Your Feet. I have also won Jigsaw Puzzle competitions.
My most wonderful accomplishment though is hearing from my students that my classes are so much fun and hearing from their adults that their students are finally seen and thriving!
In my free time, I love creating new classes! Plus I enjoy watching Korean dramas and playing BananaGrams.
