Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Help! It's Christmas Eve night and Santa has lost his Christmas list! He doesn't know which gifts should go to which child. Help him solve the math puzzles to match each present to the child it should go to. Only you can help save Christmas!

In this class, students will solve math puzzles involving patterns, codes, and arithmetic in order to figure out which present should be delivered to each child. This class is geared towards lower elementary math skills, including pattern recognition; addition; and subtraction. I provide support to students as needed.

I'm an accountant with a teaching background who enjoys learning and strives to foster a love of learning in students through games and interactive learning. I believe students learn best when they are having fun and interacting with the material.

I have always had a passion for learning and have diverse interests. I'm especially passionate about building strong foundations in language and math. I believe confidence in these two areas will give students the tools to learn almost anything they'd like to in life.

As an accountant, I have expertise in mathematics and finance. I'm an Enrolled Agent and believe everyone should be proficient in budgeting and personal finance. I believe a strong foundation in math is important to develop advanced skills with numbers later in life. Likewise, strong grammar and language skills will help students communicate effectively and give them the tools to learn anything they'd like to. I'm also passionate about culture and language and have formally studied nine languages, including studying abroad. I want to share the world with students through language and exploration.

I hope to share my love of learning with each of my students as they explore their personal interests. In doing so, students will become lifelong learners and continue to grow in and out of the classroom.
