Please note: learners as young as 7 or as old as 14 will enjoy this class topic. If your learner is outside the mentioned age range- but they would enjoy this class please join us. We will learn how to make a famous Scandinavian cake called Kransekake. This cake is made throughout the Scandinavian countries and is made for many celebrations like weddings, baby's births and other special occasions. We will learn the special ingredients, the molds needed to make it, the recipe and how to assemble it after baking plus how to decorate it with the special icing. We will learn about this cake, it's history and watch some of my personal home videos to see how to make it. Learners will be able to watch and ask questions. Also learn a new recipe they can try at home. Draw the cake once you see the final result- bring pencil and paper to class No experience needed.
Learning Goals
Each student will learn a new special cake eaten in the part of the world called
Scandinavia which consists of several countries that enjoy this cake.
It's known in Denmark and Norway and we will learn when these countries
eat this cake.

Supply List
Please bring pen and paper so you can draw the final design of the cake because it is beautiful. Also write down the special ingredients to make the cake at home later on with your family.

Out heritage is from Sweden and Norway so I am eager to share about our culture and
ancient heritage. We are also American and have made a special effort to carry on
our family's heritage each year during Christmas time. I am an expert at Scandinavian holiday experiences.
