Bonjour! In this one-time introductory class, students will learn vocabulary to talk about Christmas (secular-focused), like Christmas tree, candy cane, ornament, present, and more! We will also talk about Christmas in France! Finally, we will play hangman and Kahoot with the vocabulary to practice what we've learned. This class is mostly taught in English, but there is an emphasis on having students speak the new words. Each student will have a chance to practice their pronunciation of the new words before we move on to our games. This class can span several levels, so students do not need prior knowledge of French to participate, but those who want to learn Christmas-related vocabulary and facts that already speak some French are also welcome!

Students will need a mobile device or laptop to play Kahoot (you can use the same device that you use to join the class, though a separate device is easier)

I have been learning French for 6 years now, from French 1 - French 5. I am conversationally fluent and about a B2 level. I've been tutoring French since May 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine and I've been teaching French on Outschool for 6 months.
I took the French CLEP test a few years ago and got maybe 5 points away from a perfect score while testing out of and getting credit for all the French classes at my local community college.
