Learn how to make Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs, a famous Shanghai dish, in my class using a simple marinade and cooking technique that results in a finger-licking good meal - no prior cooking experience required.

Class experience

1 pound spare ribs, cut into 1 to 1.5 inch sections
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/3 sugar ( brown or white )
1/4 cup dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine or Rice wine ( optional )
1/4 black vinegar
5 ginger slices
4 green onion white parts
hot water as needed
1/2 tablespoon white sesame seed for garnishing ( optional )
Spring onion for garnishing
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
In this class, we will use a knife. cutting board, and stove while cooking with parental guidance.  The ingredients include short ribs, Chinese cooking wine, light and dark sauce, and sugar. For learners with food allergies and food sensitivities, please read the ingredient carefully.
