These classes are designed to expose the students to a new language and help them build the confidence they need to keep studying. Each student will have an opportunity to practice with classmates and also with me. This is a zero pressure class designed to introduce a new language and allow the students to learn about the Chinese language. I hope to spark a desire for our students to continue their study of language and culture. Week 1 We will learn how to count from from 1-10. We will learn how to introduce ourselves and practice together as a class. Fun Chinese Fact of the day! We will learn something new about Chinese culture in each class. Week 2 Introduction to Chinese tones and practice. Introduction to Chinese characters and writing. Fun Chinese fact of the day! We will learn something new about Chinese culture in each class. Week 3 We will learn the days of the weeks. We will be introduced to colors. Fun Chinese fact of the day! We will learn something new about Chinese culture in each class. Week 4 We will learn questions and answers. We will learn all about Chinese shopping vocabulary. Fun Chinese fact of the day! We will learn something new about Chinese culture in each class.

Sources
I will provide a review sheet for each lesson so that students can practice at home after class. I will also provide a practice sheet for students to practice writing Chinese characters with me in class.
