Class Experience

Want to manage stress and take control of your emotions? In this 12-week course, you’ll dive into how your brain works and why it sometimes overreacts. You’ll learn mindfulness techniques to help you stay calm, focused, and in control. We’ll cover ways to reduce stress through practices like focusing on your breath, sound, and body, and by cultivating gratitude and heartfulness. You’ll gain tools to respond to challenges with more self-awareness and confidence.

What You'll Learn:

-Understand how the brain works and why it reacts to stress
-Learn how to stay present by using mindful anchors like breath, sound, and body awareness
-Discover how mindfulness can help you manage everyday stress and overwhelming feelings
-Practice gratitude and heartfulness to develop a positive mindset
-Build self-awareness, giving you more control over how you react to situations

Course Structure: Each class kicks off with a short lesson and discussion on a mindfulness topic (like paying attention, using anchors, or how stress affects the brain). Then, we’ll dive into a group mindfulness practice, where I’ll guide you through exercises to help you stay grounded. Afterward, we’ll debrief as a group, talk about how it felt, and wrap up with short journaling prompts to reflect on the practice and reinforce the lesson.

Teaching Style: I love teaching and create a fun, welcoming environment where everyone feels heard. Each session is trauma-informed, and I aim to build relationships with students so that the class feels like a safe space. My teaching is energetic and compassionate, and I encourage participation to make learning active and engaging.

Interaction: You’ll interact with me and your classmates throughout the entire course. There will be open discussions during lessons, mindfulness practices led by me, and debrief sessions where we reflect together. You’ll also get to use tools like videos, slides, and interactive activities to keep the lessons dynamic and fun.

This course is designed to be relatable to your life and experiences, so you’ll leave with practical skills that help you manage stress and stay in control, no matter what life throws at you.
