Children's Choir Singing Club! Vocal Music Sing-Along Weekly Class 16 Weeks

In each session, our singers will embark on a musical adventure filled with fun vocal warm-ups and delightful songs carefully chosen to inspire and captivate young hearts. Children will learn essential vocal techniques such as breathing, posture, pitch, and rhythm in a way that is both educational and enjoyable. They'll also develop important skills like listening, cooperation, and self-expression as they sing together and explore the joy of making music as a group. 

Learning Goals:

โœ”๏ธapply the elements of music when singing (beat, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, pitch, phrasing, mood)

Non-US Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have been teaching for more than 25 years with the Toronto District School Board. My Ontario College of Teachers Certificate number is #286618. I attended Dalhousie University for my Bachelor of Music in Performance. I also have a Bachelor of Education from Brock University. I studied classical piano from the age of 5 with the Royal Conservatory of Music. While in University, I performed as a Mezzo-Soprano in the Dalhousie Chorale.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taught K-12 Music, Kindergarten, Grade 1 and 2, Health and Physical Education. I have conducted choirs and musical ensembles for seasonal public performances throughout all of these years of teaching. I have always continued to advance my skills by taking additional qualifications courses and am very proud to be a Reading Specialist. 
It is my passion and joy to make learning fun and engaging for all of my students!
