Dear Parents and Learners, Welcome to the Chess for Rookies: Weekly Blitz Tournament. This tournament is welcome to all chess players who already know the rules of the game and want to test out a new tactic or strategy. Playing blitz also allows the chess players to practice with time pressure and intuition. Here chess players will each have 5 minutes per game and an unlimited number of games within 55 minutes. We will dedicate 5 minutes for the introduction and any questions. If everyone...
The goal is to play a game together and have fun together! This ongoing class allows students to apply their newly learned tactics in a real game or simply wants to practice and make friends.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will use Chessonlinefree.com to play. If you already have an account, please let me know so I can send you the link to join the game directly. Alternatively, you can also choose to play anonymously for the first session, but you can only with the teacher and once you close your window you won't be able to review your game. Before the class, please make sure to use the link that I send in the conversation and have the window ready to play. As always, I suggest to always have a physical version of the game for learning and practice purposes in general. I think that it is important to learn to play both online and with a real game of chess.
