Description
Class Experience
Through this camp, students will learn about the organization and structure of the periodic table, periodic table trends, the structure of atoms, historical facts about elements, and more.
Students will complete two projects outside of class. In one project, students will make their own periodic table of ordinary objects. This project will take anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete. The other project, an element research project, will take approximately 1-3 hours to complete as well.
No specific apps, websites, or services are required, but students may wish to use external resources to work on their projects and will likely need to access books or the internet for the element research project. All projects can be done without purchasing extra supplies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
