Curious or excited about the Periodic Table of Elements? Eager to learn more & share what you know? Then this two-week Chemistry Camp about the Periodic Table of Elements is for you! We will meet three times over two weeks, and during those 6 classes we will work on two main projects: - Make your own Periodic Table of objects - Element research project These projects will be explained in detail in the first class of each week, with examples, and students will present their work at the end...
Through this camp, students will learn about the organization and structure of the periodic table, periodic table trends, the structure of atoms, historical facts about elements, and more.
Homework Offered
Students will complete two projects outside of class. In one project, students will make their own periodic table of ordinary objects. This project will take anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete. The other project, an element research project, will take approximately 1-3 hours to complete as well.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

No specific apps, websites, or services are required, but students may wish to use external resources to work on their projects and will likely need to access books or the internet for the element research project. All projects can be done without purchasing extra supplies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
