Cat's Challenges and Friends Weekly Club - Roblox Edition
In my weekly club, learners will team up and work through an interactive, engaging challenge designed to develop and enhance important life skills that includes communication, team-building, critical thinking, problem-solving, and more.

THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL ROBLOX CLASS.... I have one of over 100 - and counting - Learn With Cat challenges dedicated for each visit. If the challenge is completed before the 70 minutes are up, the winning team will have the opportunity to suggest a Roblox game from one of my private servers for us to participate in for the remainder of our time together. As your learner participates in my challenges, they will practice soft and/or hard skills along with their team members. The class will be broken into the Red team and the Blue team and will be separated for parts of the challenge in breakout rooms. I will bounce back and forth between the teams to encourage participation and communication. I encourage all learners to interact and communicate with their teammates and to think out the challenge at hand. With my challenges, learners are placed in scenarios where they naturally have to participate to win. Please note, the classroom page is the start of my challenges. I ask that all learners read through the instructions online before the start of class. In this class, learners will not be "playing Roblox." They will be partaking in a Roblox challenge specifically designed to enhance certain skills. Roblox "playtime" will come only after challenges are completed. All challenges are designed by me - whether it is a Roblox game I created, or challenges I created on an empty lot in a RP game. This will be a new experience for your learner. Learners naturally form friendships in this environment both in and outside of their teams. It is a wonderful club to be a part of.

Depending on the challenge - as there are more than 100 - your learner can learn from a variety of important skills, such as communication, team-building, listening and attention, management, budgeting, problem-solving, critical thinking, and more.
Other Details
Pre-Requisites
=> Learners are to download Roblox, on a computer/laptop ONLY, before the visit.
=> Learners must know how to navigate through and utilize Roblox.
=> Messages and instructions in the classroom MUST BE READ.
Supply List
A notebook, something to write with depending on the challenge, and a device for Zoom separate from the computer used for Roblox.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have experience as a learning coach for my own children for over 11 years with an online, fully-accredited private school. I instructed and assisted in courses in Language Arts [writing skills, handwriting, spelling, literature and comprehension, vocabulary, composition, grammar use and mechanics], history, mathematics, and science.
In 2017 to 2018, I used my skills in English to teach children on an overseas platform called VIPKid. My students were fully immersed into a one-on-one instruction of the English language, where I taught them using TPR [Total Physical Response] that enriched their curriculum and encouraged critical thinking and their creativity. I also created award systems that gave learners confidence about their performance.
Through 2018 to 2021, I taught here, on Outschool! I initially educated children about the aspects of writing. My classes ranged from reading books to teaching plot elements to answering questions and providing guidance about the indie publishing world. Later in my Outschool career, I offered classes that focused on skill-building. After my years with Outschool, I continued my courses into 2023 through Learn With Cat on my own site.Reviews
