Painting is so much fun! Join Tara Lynn to create this "Cats" painting with acrylic paint. The supply list is short and sweet and it is great to give as a gift or hang up in your home when it's finished. We will start by making sure everyone has the supplies needed. We begin painting by making a teal background. After we complete the background we will create our cats, and then add fun details. Don't worry, this painting is fun and easy and we will work together step by step! **THIS IS AN ART BASED LESSON, PLEASE CHECK LEARNER SUPPLY LIST TAB BEFORE ENROLLING** This lesson will typically take 1 hour to complete, but can run shorter or longer depending on the needs of the artists.

Students will explore basic elements of art such as line, space, shape, form, texture, value, color, and balance.
Students will explore the basic principles of art such as balance, emphasis, harmony, movement, pattern, proportion, repetition, rhythm, unity, and variety.
Students will learn to use various art materials such as acrylic paint and the techniques associated with the mediums used.

-any size canvas or paper (140lb) to paint on. 9x12 or 11x14 are great sizes to work with. -acrylic paint/craft paint in the following colors: white, black, shades of grown, grey, and orange, teal (having a variety of colors on hand is a good idea, you can change up this painting any way you like!) -paint brushes in the following sizes: small thin round, medium and large flat brush -pencil -water, paper towels, paper plate or palette to put paint on -tracer (supplied in the "welcome" section, optional) Acrylic paint is not washable once dry, please wear an apron or "paint clothes" just in case!
