Students will meet together live with teacher and other students. Students will follow along on a slide show presentation as the teacher reads aloud about the changes a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly. The teacher will lead the students step by step through a fine motor skills craft. Students will follow along creating their own butterfly craft. Although the process is step by step, students are encouraged to express themselves and "change it up" to make the craft their very own.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the changes a caterpillar encounters while going through the process of becoming a butterfly.
Developing fine motor skills takes a variety of activities.
This craft will engage the student in strengthening those motor skills by using a scissors, paint, and glue.

Students may need assistance with the craft. Scissors will be used.

Children will need 1. One paper plate 2. One empty toilet paper tube 3. Acrylic or tempera paint 4. Paint brush 5. Scissors 6. Glue 7. One Black pipe cleaner or skinny strips of black paper 8. Printable from classroom 9. One Popsicle stick
