Beginner Level
What Will Be Taught? AI Basics & Face Detection: Students will learn how to use Pose Tracking AI to detect their mouth and interact with the game. Game Development with Tynker Blocks: Kids will create a simple, interactive Thanksgiving-themed food-catching game using Tynker’s Block-based IDE. Customization: Once the basic game is built, students will have the chance to tweak and personalize their game, making it their own. How is Your Class Structured? Introduction (5 minutes): Brief explanation of AI and how it tracks facial expressions to control the game. Building the Game (35 minutes): Hands-on coding session where students will follow along to create their own food-catching game using Tynker Blocks. Customization & Exploration (10 minutes): Kids will modify their game, adjust difficulty levels, or add new features to make the game unique. Q&A & Sharing (5 minutes): Time for students to ask questions, share their games, and discuss what they’ve created. How Will You Teach? Live Instructions & Hands-On Coding: I will demonstrate each step of the process, followed by hands-on coding where students will follow along using Tynker Blocks. Interactive Learning: Students will receive real-time support to troubleshoot, customize, and enhance their projects. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact with You? Direct Interaction: Learners will get to ask questions during the live instructions and the hands-on coding session. Support: I’ll be available throughout the class to provide guidance on coding, facial recognition, and game customization.
