Beginner Level
"Cards for Kindness" is craft-based class aimed at getting students thinking about kindness. We will begin with introductions and a short discussion about what kindness is, how we can show it, who we know that is kind, etc. While we discuss this, students will pick someone they want to make a card for to show their gratitude. If time allows, students will be able to make more than one card. Once we begin the craft project, we will have step-by-step instructions to get started. students will practice their fine motor schools and explore their creativity. After the first few steps, the pace will be very loose as they decorate and/or write whatever they want to share through their card. At the end, students will have the opportunity to share their project(s) with the group. My teaching style is very upbeat and encouraging. I love to praise student's efforts and build their confidence. I am here to spread smiles that go on to spread more smiles!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from University of Arkansas
Hello! My name is Miss Allison, and I'm so happy to meet you! Making new friends and learning are two of my favorite things.
The classes I teach are centered around music and storytelling. We can learn to use our voices better, study a song or a musical, have a sing-along jamboree, and all sorts of fun musical activities. After all, why shouldn't learning be fun?
As for me, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, 4 years of experience as the Education Director for an Art-based Non-Profit, and (most recently) 2 years of tutoring English as a Foreign Language online. My specialty is working with preschool and elementary-aged kids.
As a teacher, what I love most is encouraging young learners. I believe that when we feel confident and comfortable in our surroundings, we open up the door to unlimited learning and exploration.
I encourage play and self-expression, and I allow students to choose their own level of participation based on comfort - everyone has different styles and needs, and that's okay!
Some of my major interests include singing, arts and crafts, reading, gardening and cooking. Oh, and of course, playing with my adorable cats, Cowboy and Bootsie!
I would love to hear about your special interests and hobbies too, and I hope to see you in class sometime so I can find out! See you soon!
