What's included
1 live meeting
1 hrs 15 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Experiment with cutting and folding techniques as you transform simple cardboard and paper into a remarkable rocket of your own design. Fire up your creativity by inventing far-out features for your handheld spacecraft, like aerodynamic winglets, flaming boosters or expressive astronauts. Boost your 7-9 year old's creative confidence. This class is designed to teach kids (sometimes tricky, always satisfying) new skills as they set big goals, rise to meet them and stay determined along the way. They’ll leave with newfound abilities and plenty of ideas to fuel future innovations. What families say about this class: I was so impressed with this class and my daughter absolutely loved it. The kids were all engaged and the counselor was great at explaining the activity and giving them time to complete each step. My daughter has continued to work on her spaceship and has plans for what to do with it next. —Mari, San Carlos, CA My son really enjoyed making something that he thought was cool with things we could find around the house. He liked talking to new friends, coming up with ideas on his own and sharing them with the class. And he loved seeing everyone's spaceship! - Patty, Los Angeles, CA My son isn't a fan of his virtual Zoom courses for school, but he loved his Camp Galileo Anywhere class! His spaceship was so creative and he even went back to working on it after class was over. Mostly, we (his parents) really enjoyed having an hour to get some work done without needing to use the television or a video game. Thank you Galileo for creating the next best thing to summer camp! —Tabetha, Oakland, CA
