Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that centers afro-liberation. Representation and history is huge in Capoeira, so references of Capoeira’s past in slavery are embedded into Capoeiras music lyrics.
Also, we will go upside down sometimes to do handstands, or spin to do kicks. It’s important that learners have enough space (10x10 minimum) to practice and train.
