In this one-time course, students will learn the basic shapes in Cantonese in a fun way. Students will also be using shapes to make a pig!

Trying to get your little ones to speak more Cantonese? Want your little ones to learn a new language? This will be a fun and interactive course for your little ones to learn shapes in Cantonese. We will be also be using different kinds of shapes to make a pig craft. Each student will be taking turns to practice the different shapes and I will be correcting them if needed. Class Agenda: 1) Introduction 2) Looking at different shapes in Cantonese 3) Games 4) Pig Craft 5) Goodbye This class will be fun with games and crafts where students can learn Cantonese and motor skills at the same time. No prior Cantonese knowledge is required. If the times don't work feel free to message me for a different time.

Hello, my name is Joanne. Nice to meet you!
I was born in Hong Kong but moved to Canada when I was six years old. Growing up, my family speaks to me in Cantonese so I'm bilingual in Cantonese and English. After graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Geography, I went back to Hong Kong to work. Working in Hong Kong for ten years has deepened my understanding of Chinese culture and language. I love both languages and use them daily with my family and friends.
I am now back in Canada and have been teaching children for over 10 years. I am a TESOL-certified online ESL teacher and currently teaching online ESL English and Cantonese to children in the US, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Korea from ages 4-13. I am also teaching Korean adults. I also have a ten-year-old son and we love to read, play in the park, and explore new places.
I believe you will learn more and be better at it when you are enjoying what you are doing. I love to make my students smile and laugh. I will use my bilingual skills and my experience with children to help each student to learn their best. My classes are fun, engaging, and educational.
