Each lesson will include a review-style assessment, or "exit ticket," allowing each learner to evaluate what they have learned from the class.

Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Each lesson will demonstrate 2 test-taking strategies in an interactive, discussion-based atmosphere. Learners will lead class discussions while making connections to the subject matter. The information will be delivered through instructional talks, open-ended questions, and fun-inclusive games. By best practice, learners will gain test-taking strategies to prepare them for the ISEE, HSPT, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, etc.

🎓 This course is perfect for learners who want to improve their study and test preparation, time management, and organization skills to develop greater confidence in their ability to effectively apply their test-taking strategies.

💻🔌We'll meet weekly for fun and interactive classes where we'll complete activities to help us understand and apply our weekly test-taking strategies. By the end of each class, learners will demonstrate their acquired knowledge for each strategy learned, and by the end of the course, in a final review game.

📅We will explore the following critical test-taking skills into practice; Eisenhower Decision Matrix, SMART goals, learning styles, note-taking methods, prioritization, The Tasks Hierarchy, test-taking strategies, focus and attention management, and more! Learning Goals
Learners will develop an awareness of test-taking strategies to prepare them for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, HiSET, advanced placement tests, and other standardized tests.
 
Goals for Learners may include improving their decision-making by following the Eisenhower Decision Matrix. Also, learners will gain knowledge of SMART goal setting and enhance their learning by identifying learning styles and note-taking strategies. Learners will also gain insight into prioritization through The Tasks Hierarchy, “best practices” for test-taking, and focus and attention management.
