In this one-week camp, learners will be taught basic verbal conversation skills and have opportunities to practice them in a gentle small-group environment.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-week camp, learners will be taught basic verbal conversation skills
and have opportunities to practice them in a gentle small-group environment. 

Topics to be covered include:
Day 1: Greeting someone and introducing yourself
Day 2: Introducing other people and putting someone at ease
Day 3: Listening and expressing curiosity
Day 4: Giving and receiving a compliment
Day 5: Making small-talk and saying goodbye

This will be a learner-centered discussion group. Each learner will have time to
Both speak and listen. 

There will also be video clips, picture books, games, and presentation slides. 

Each session will be structured: 
5 min—Catch-up with one another
5 min—Introduce new conversation skills
15 min—Practice together
5 min—Review the skills

Learners will grow in social awareness including understanding social normals, cultural differences, and appropriate behavior in various contexts.
