What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Mindfulness will be defined and strategies will be shared. Classes will incorporate breathing instruction, yoga and movement opportunities, and opportunities to be still and quiet (meditation). Classes are interactive. My teaching style is playful and fun. I incorporate silly hats, props, puppets, stories, and games whenever possible. Learners need no experience with mindfulness strategies, can be experts, or anywhere in between. This class will grow learners from where they are with these skills!
Learning Goals
During a session, students will review the meaning of mindfulness and explore strategies for how to be more mindful and engaged. Mindfulness practice creates calm and improves focus and concentration skills!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a public school educator for thirty years: classroom teacher, school librarian, and school counselor. I am currently serving as a school counselor and yoga teacher for children ages 4-8 years. I have my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Certification and 95 hours Children Yoga Teacher Certification. I have 1000+ hours in yoga teaching experience. Mindfulness strategies help us to be here now. Understanding of these techniques strengthens our understanding of what we can control and how we can best to respond to what we can't. Being mindful helps us all to live our best lives!
