Calligraphy With Markers! Learn to Write Beautiful Letters and Word Art
What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hoursHomework
This is a one-time class, so Learners will not have homework — however, there will be encouragement to finish their projects that they started in class, as there may not be enough time depending on how quickly the Learner works. Kids often want to continue practicing their skills beyond the classroom!Class Experience
Join Ms. Ren in creating beautiful Calligraphy using bold Crayola (or other broad line) markers! Learners will use materials they have at home to learn the technique of actual Calligraphy — it's super easy to write letterforms using guided worksheets and direction from Ms. Ren (a professional Lettering Artist). We'll cover basic stroke warmups to get the technique down, writing each letter together (with many examples to follow along), and then try our hand at Calligraphy names and words. Calligraphy is a very useful skill to learn, as it can be used to create word art, names on envelopes, handmade gifts, eye-catching signs, or for school projects (and that's only the beginning!). Ms. Ren has taught many in-person and online classes to a variety of ages and skills on Calligraphy techniques. She is known for explaining the process of the Calligraphy strokes and flourishes with passion and plenty of encouragement! It can be a meditative artform, and Learners tend to catch on quickly — many of them go on to practice their skills even beyond the classroom setting, showing real focus and pride as they craft beautiful words in the Calligraphy style.
Learning Goals
