In this one time class, students will take a tour of our solar system. They will learn about the Sun, each of the planets and dwarf planets.
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Students will learn about our solar system, and how the planets may be similar or different from each other. We will take a tour of our solar system starting with the sun and ending out past Neptune. It will be lectured based, but I love student interactions and will ask students to participate along our journey to see what they know. Maybe they will teach me something! Students will be able to list all the planets and dwarf planets in our solar system. They will also be able to discuss the planets and how they are different or similar (gaseous or rocky, etc). Students will be able to discuss the differences between planets and dwarf planets.
