This class will harness everything you love about apple pie – classic fall flavors, the sense of warmth and family that comes with the smell of the holidays, and the rich flavor of homemade filling ---- but all in a cupcake! During class students will bake fluffy cupcakes, prepare a scrumptious filling, and whip up the creamiest cinnamon buttercream imaginable. We’ll assemble it all into a bit-sized cupcake that tastes like the best slice of apple pie you’ve ever eaten! This recipe can be adapted to accommodate gluten and most other food sensitivities. When in doubt… let’s put our heads together and see what we can develop to provide a safe experience for all students. It should be noted, prior to enrollment, that a stand mixer (preferred) or hand mixer will be necessary for the class. Parental Guidance
We will be using the oven, stove top, and knives during class. I leave the level of supervision to your judgement as you are most keenly aware of your learner's skillset in these areas.
Supply List
Please contact me prior to class with any questions about supplies. - Yellow cake mix, plus ingredients called for on the box - 4 Granny Smith apples - 3/4c dark brown sugar - 4tsp cinnamon - 1 tbsp corn starch - 1 cup + 2 tbsp butter, salted and softened - 2 lbs powdered sugar - 1/4c heavy cream - Cupcake tins and liners - 16” piping bag and piping tip of your choice

I am a former bakery owner who loves to push the envelope when it comes to edible creativity! I know it isn’t right to play favorites, but cupcakes are my absolute favorite form of edible art.
I started taking cake classes about 10 years ago for the sole purpose of making amazing creations for my own kid's birthdays. It quickly became a passion and grew into a thriving business. I am also skilled in fondant work, drip cakes, and buttercream cakes. Once students learn the basics in this class, the sky is the limit with their baking and decorating potential!
