US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
The students will listen to an alphabet story written by the teacher about things that people see, do, and eat during a modern Christmas season. The learners will say the letters of the alphabet and talk about what they like and don't like about Christmas. Each student will take turns talking about their favorite Christmas things. If there is time the students will review the story and practice reading the words. The students will review all of the letters at the end of class and think about words that start with the letters. The students do not need any prior knowledge to enjoy this class. Here are some of the vocabulary words that we will learn: apple cider, boots, Christmas cookies and candy canes, decorations, elves, family, gingerbread, holly, ivy and icicles, jingle bells, kind kids, letters, mistletoe, North Pole, ornaments, presents, quilt, reindeer, Santa and stockings, tree and tinsel, ugly Christmas sweaters, village, wreath, extra kindness, yule logs, and zoom.
