Supply List
You will need things to write with and something to write on. You may want to use what you already have at home, or get some new materials so I have given my recommendations of what is needed at minimum or what I would recommend if you have availability to purchase specific supplies. WRITING SUPPLIES (of your choosing): At the minimum- paper and pencils/pens. For better results, I recommend a variety of writing tools such as pencils with erasers, pens, markers, colored pencils or something with color if you want to use color in your journal. A ruler or something to draw straight edges is helpful. JOURNAL: For the journal itself you can use at the minimum a regular notebook or for better results, a specialized bullet journal (also called a DOT journal). Bullet journals will typically have blank pages with some type of light grid markings to make it easier to create designs. I have also personally found success with a style that falls between the two in effectiveness and cost which is a graph paper notebook. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I’m Ms. Natasha and I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and my sweet rescue dog, Rudy.
I am a Certified Early Childhood and Elementary teacher (Pre-K through 6th grade), with 10 years experience teaching a variety of age groups and diverse populations. I also have a B.S in Psychology from Virginia Tech and am working towards my Masters in Curriculum Development. I love using my background and experience to be the type of teacher that can understand how students learn best and design my lessons to provide the best learning experience.
I am excited to be here to provide classes in the areas that have brought the most joy into my life. I am passionate about everything relating to positive and healthy living. There are so many important topics that I have learned as an adult that I would love to share with the next generation such as growth mindset, self esteem, stress-busters, time management, goal setting, living with positivity and gratitude, and so much more. I’m also a huge fan of healthy eating and being creative, especially making art and writing.
My teaching philosophy hinges on exploring different learning styles and teaching methods. I love incorporating a variety of subjects into a lesson. This keeps students engaged, interested, and participating. My goal as an educator is to transmit new information to young learners in a way that is meaningful, memorable, and fun. I love to help children explore the world around them and embrace who they are.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking nature walks, doing crafts like candle-making, reading, and writing in my journal.
