Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students will receive practical homework assignments aimed at reinforcing the day’s learning objectives. These tasks will involve creating web pages, implementing functionalities using JavaScript, and designing responsive layouts. Homework is designed to require approximately 1-2 hours of engagement outside of class time per assignment.
Assessment
Students will be assessed through project-based assessments, tailored to measure their understanding and application of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These assessments will challenge students to build a webpage, add interactive features, and create a final integrated project. The focus will be on practical skills, including code correctness, design creativity, functionality, and adherence to best practices.

Overview:

Dive into the exciting world of web development with our interactive one-week course designed specifically for teenagers aged 13 and up. Whether you're a budding coder or a curious novice, this course offers a hands-on approach to learning the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

What Will Be Taught:

Students will learn to create functional, stylish, and interactive websites. The course covers:

    - Basic to intermediate HTML structures for web content.
    - CSS for styling to make visually engaging web pages.
    - JavaScript basics for dynamic user interactions.

Class Structure:

The course is structured over six days, with each day focusing on different aspects of web development:

    - Days 1-2: HTML and CSS basics, building up to more complex page layouts.
    - Days 3-4: Deep dive into CSS styling and introductory JavaScript.
    - Day 5: Advanced JavaScript features and dynamic content manipulation.
    - Day 6: Project day where students will build, and complete a web application.

 Discover the basics of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), the language used to style web pages. Understand CSS syntax and learn about various selectors used to target HTML elements for styling. Explore how different selectors work, including element selectors, class selectors, and ID selectors, to apply styles effectively.

Day 3: Introduction to JavaScript
 Begin your journey into JavaScript, the programming language that adds interactivity to web pages. Learn about basic JavaScript syntax, including how to declare and use variables to store data. Understand data types such as numbers, strings, and booleans, and how to perform operations on them.

Day 4: JavaScript and the DOM
 Learn about the Document Object Model (DOM), a programming interface that represents a web page as a tree structure of objects.
