Do you love geography? Do you love play-dough? Then let's have fun creating while learning about the world around us! In this ongoing class, learners will be introduced to the 7 continents while building with Play-Doh. Students will learn interesting facts about the world as they build. Students will construct many different geographical features, such as: major rivers, mountains, and climate zones. Learners will need at least four cans of play-dough. Students may use more colors for a more detailed model (5-7 cans of Play-Dough or clay). I will be using a second spotlighted camera to show step-by-step directions as we make and learn about the land together. Handouts will be provided before each class. Students may print it out to use as a reference or mat to work on. I will talk and ask questions about while creating. Students can share their finished masterpieces in class or by posting pictures in the classroom. No previous knowledge needed! Join anytime you want! Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include Q&A, slideshow, fun facts, hands-on activities, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. What is taught in this course?
